Did you know that the city of Pécs was once a Roman town called Sopianae? The history dates back to the year 100, which is when the city was founded. By the end of year 200 it became one of the administrative centers of the Roman province of Pannonias! Pécs is a very interesting city, filled with alot of both history and culture. Although its development suffered several setbacks over the centuries, nothing has stopped the city of Pécs to become the modern city we see today!
The University of Pécs
The University of Pécs was founded in 1912 and was originally named "the Royal Hungarian University of Sciences". The University's Medical Faculty was founded 6 years later, on April 14, 1918!
Requirements UP
- A high school diploma/official transcript of grades from secondary school
- B2 level/upper intermediate English knowledge
- Pass a complex (oral & written) entrance exam
- Have eligibility for higher education studies in home country
Admission information
Consists of an online written part and an oral interview through Skype/Zoom.
The written part includes a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. Biology (20 questions), Chemistry (20 questions), General English (40 questions) & Medical English (20 questions). The duration of the test is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The oral part is a 20-30 minutes personal interview with a university professor about medicine related questions and motivation.
